Longitudinal or shear waves are possible since this transducer can vary an incidence angle at its option. Also, posing testing subjects out of the dead zone, it can detect the defect search nearby the surface. Scanning without contacts with testing subjects, the transducer is not damaged and the test can be performed very fast.
The main testing subjects are thin material and complex-formed subjects.
